According to experimental studies, endoscopic narrow-band imaging (NBI) is of great help in the early diagnosis of Barrett's esophagus (BE).
A certain number of patients suspected of Barrett's esophagus under gastroscopy were randomly selected for the experiment, and pathological biopsies were taken under normal mode and NBI technology, respectively. The contour of the observed squamous epithelial junction lesion, the glandular duct opening and capillary structure and morphology of Barrett's esophageal mucosa are much more obvious in NBI than in ordinary endoscopic images, and the diagnostic rate is significantly improved.
As a new examination system of endoscopy, NBI can make the lesion contour more clear and easy to operate, which brings positive diagnostic value for Barrett's esophagus.
